Commitment to Sustainability

Solaris Paper and its affiliate APP share the same philosophy, that is, we are committed to promoting sustainable development which is economically, socially and environmentally responsible.

We have an economic responsibility to our shareholders, employees, suppliers and key stakeholders to manage and develop our business. We will do this by providing our customers with innovative bathroom solutions that deliver excellent quality and value.

We have a social responsibility to the various communities in which we operate. In Australia, we are supporting a range of organisations including our local school, business associations and others. We provide donations and inkind support for disaster relief and are exploring how we can support community fund raising.

Our Actions and Commitments

Our affiliate, APP, in Indonesia and China has a clear philosophy on sustainability and is committed to ensuring all affiliates of the Company, including Solaris Paper, act in line with this philosophy;

• APP cares about operating responsibly because it understands that it is not only accountable to its shareholders, but also to the broader community at large.
• APP is firmly against any illegal logging.
• APP supports the conservation of forest roughly equal to the size of 500,000 soccer pitches.
• APP’s pulpwood suppliers plant over 300 million trees every year, and by planting more than they harvest, contribute positively to forestation.
• APP invests around $40 million annually for community and environment programs.
• APP supports millions of families around the world, directly and indirectly.
